This time last year it was the day after my Monsters Show as a cast member, and I remember being certain that my life was inspired and changed by the experience. One year later, after this years Monsters Show as a choreographer I have the same feeling! I cant believe I got the amazing honor to tell my story with Hannah Gossett on this incredibly talented cast. Thank to so many people, including my family of course who is my motivation, Andy Funk for believing in us, Napoleon Dumo and Tabitha for trusting us as part of this groundbreaking show. Thanks to the cast for being so open and bringing something personal to us to heights higher than we ever imagined. This piece was hugely inspired by a number of events leading up to a true discovery of who we were as people and artists, and Rhapsody James was the one to jump start that journey with Motivating Excellence. Thank you Rhap, and everyone there who told me to just be myself and be unafraid. I myself would also like to thank Farley Rene for being my muse with your freestyle, and driving me to discover the feeling I saw from you in myself. Thank you Jeffrey Louizia and the whole gang from Utah, where Hannah and I discovered true freedom as artists. Thanks Mary Somers for showing me Deepak Chopra thus helping me face so many inner demons. There has been a lot of heartache, failure, triumph, tears, and breakthroughs in these last few months and I think all of this led to wholehearted creation of this piece.
