This time of August when dairy farmers meet the question is always, Started choppin yet?. Well, we started last week at Jones Family Farm. The corn crop looks fabulous and the weather has been grand. Speaking of the weather, the cows have thrived in this cooler than usual late summer. Theyre making more milk than ever before in August at an average of about 85 lbs per cow. Weve also been busy putting up our new sign at the end of the lane. What do you think?
