This time of year I think of all the music Brother Howard ( Our Choir director at CRA), and Mrs. Stokes taught us at this time of year. So many songs to remember! There was plenty of fun and joy to be had. I remember my friends, Carolyn OConnell-Neely, Cynthia Coleman, Aaron Coleman, Darryl Abbott, and so many others that were in choir and Horizons with me. We had an amazing amount of fun, a million laughs, and friendships that have endured the test of time. I am waxing nostalgic today, and I guess it is my illness, but I find myself weeping at the drop of a hat, and missing friends of old, some I no longer see due to distance, some we lost along the way Mrs. Stokes...Chuck OConnell being the most recent. I loved the songs Brother Howard taught me. Songs silly as Santas using Zebras Now, and Dear Santa Have You Had the Measles?. Then there are those that make me cry still today, Simple Holiday Joys. I miss those days freezing to death in choir dresses that took about a half of a can of Hair Net spray to keep the dresses from clinging to you like a glove. Remember that gals? I can always see you all in my heart and mind, and memories remain. Thank you Brother Howard and Mrs. Stokes for making Christmas memories for us all. I love all my CRA friends. God be with you and happy memories to you all. youtu.be/VXvXPl0sU0Y
