This time of year is extremely busy for us at Pets Haven. Not only are we dealing with the never ending influx of animals requiring our love and care, but the warmer weather also signals the beginning of event season. Our volunteers, whilst always incredibly valued by us, give so much of their time to tending to the shelter, assisting with transport, supporting us at off site adoption days, festivals and other events. Sometimes I just cant put into words how thankful I am to these people. Their dedication to Pets Haven is nothing short of amazing. They sacrifice their weekends with their families and furkids to travel all over Melbourne to help our orphans find homes or to raise awareness around who we are and what we do by chatting to members of the public. Always smiling. Always passionate. When I thank them they tell me not to be silly, or that Im giving them big heads or that its not necessary. IT IS NECESSARY and this post is to thank each and every one of the volunteers that give their time to Pets Haven and their hearts to our orphans. We appreciate you all so much and simply could not continue to do our work without you. Helen xoxo
