This video reminds me so much of my Mom in her youth! She was a gifted seamstress by trade. (Designed her own sewing patterns). She did alterations for Crowleys, and had her own clientelle. She sewed our clothes when we were little. I remember she spent many hours at her manual (nonelectric) sewing machine. She even tried to teach me on it, but I did not inherit her talent, lol! You had to have the right rhythm on the foot peddle or the bobbin thread would get all tangled up. I can still hear the comforting sound of her sewing machine whirring and slowing, and whirring and slowing, as I played with my toys nearby in the basement!
