This video shows Snoopy, a #new Pit Bull, (the white and brown dog near the back). I was with my dog in Santa Monica, and I saw that a woman (his owner) was having trouble with him being aggressive on leash, so I came over to help her. It turned out that Snoopy is really an insecure dog, but the owner was very weak when she would walk him, and so he felt the need to protect her. She then opened up about feeling guilty and sorry for his past, because he was left very skinny in an apartment by an owner who was likely abusive. I listened to his story, and the way it continues to make the owner feel, for a good amount of time. After hearing it all, it was clear to me that it was keeping her in a paralyzed state, where she was unable to be the strong, calm leader that he needs her to be so that he can feel safe and recover. I let her know that I do understand all of the sad emotions, but that now he needs stability, safety, and balance, which all come from a good leader. SO, the owner is now making changes at home so he can feel good and leave the story behind. Also, he will now be hiking with the pack, and he can FINALLY disappear and get to feel the joy of being a dog again.. they always do! Lucky boy! #TThpack
