This week I’ve been visiting the Middle East and inspecting UNICEF’s vital humanitarian work. The conflict in Syria has created a refugee crisis in the region. Yet, despite the horrible situation in which people have found themselves, there are still signs of hope. While in the Za’atari refugee camp in Jordan, I noticed that people planting seedlings and small gardens. Even in the middle of all this difficulty, people still want to plant gardens and make the place they live beautiful. You can read more about my Middle East visit below.
