This week Millions of Muslims the world over will be gathering in Mecca. likewise in the Judeo-Christian traditions, Millions more will be observing the Day of Atonement and Sukkot. In stark contrast armies gather and begin airstrikes in the Middle East. Simultaneously almost, we see a massive gathering of souls on a peaceful quest to worship and a just as massive coming together of an aggressive energy, far removed from peace. What affect could these two different kinds of collective energies have on our world? Which way will the scales of balance dip? Which collective will have the most weight? Both the religious observers and the warriors are following their own hierarchies. Will they cancel each other out and bring about an end to this era of rule, and control? Are these two contrasting hierarchical systems coming to and end? I find that noticing these contrasts is intriguing and this week sparks many questions.
