This week has been a grueling week of emotions. I know, I know, everyone goes through it, but being a parent, its still tough to see your kids go through such gut wrenching times like this week has presented itself. I posted about my sons friend and the emotions of those who are left behind to deal with the memory of those who lost their lives in Afghanistan. Wednesday morning I was awakened with a call from youngest daughter, Ambers shaken voice, Dad, they cant find a heartbeat. My heart sank!!! I felt so helpless because I was five hours away. Yesterday morning, our little, Sadie Mae, our third granddaughter, was born. My daughter and wife got spend a few minutes with her and say their goodbyes. I never got to meet you, Sadie Mae, but that doesnt mean your Grandpa didnt love you! You are now dancing and running with your Uncle Cade and are waiting on us to be with you. I love you Billy, Amber, Sophia And Gabby and you will pull through much like your Mom and Dad did when we lost Cade. You are comforted in love and prayers. We will be reunited again, Sadie Mae, until then, we will miss you and know that you are and have been loved since finding out you were in your mommies tummy!
