This week, our country marks a disappointing anniversary – The government shutdown. It was incredibly frustrating when the House Majority shutdown the government last year, all just to put special interests ahead of the American people, while protecting their own pay and perks. That’s why I refused my own pay during the shutdown, because Congress shouldn’t be paid for a crisis it caused.
