This weekends wedding was just on point, strategically and carefully planned. I was particularly happy with the planning especially the reception bit. We had it on a football pitch so you can imagine the number of people that troop there. The couple happen to be popular in town too and could afford all the pomp and pageantry but like I said they did something clever and that set the tone for a blessed marriage. Now to my favorite part, I saw people queue as usual for food and then I saw khebab and sausages with pie and a drink of your choice being served. I heard one woman say ah na wei aa na omo serve anaa ye de bc ase3 to wit is this all they are serving or the meal will come so this is just starter. Then I started laughing cuz I was reliably informed that it was just a cocktail thingy. Same woman after realizingthat was all for the day was complaining bitterly that she sat through church and to the place only to get that. I simply couldnt help it with laughter but I was personally happy the couple didnt waste so much money on meals but rather their cloths looked classy and they got married to the glory of God. * Dont go to weddings hoping to eat lunch there. To those who intend to wed you can take a cue from this. You dont need to cook banku, fufu and fried rice with chicken for all the guest. You end up spending so much and so broke. Funny thing is out of the over 500 people who witness wont even bother to check on you after the ceremony. I have personally seen people who go for loans to get this ceremony done and I feel it is the most stupid thing to do as young couple just to please society. Now i am practically not against it that is if you have enough money , budgeted well and dont mind throwing some out then you can have the buffets and all but seriously cut your coat according to your size and think about the future. Congrats Mr & Mrs Nsarkoh Duah
