This weeks round up: TCRC runners have been around the region competing in various events from marathons to park runs. Brian Cumpsty and Terry Poole tackled the Bolton Hill marathon on both Saturday and Sunday. The hilly, muddy course was tough but both finished each day. On Saturday Brian posted 4.51 and Terry 5.07 and on Sunday Brian finished in 5.05 and Terry in 5.31. In the glorious Yorkshire dales Janine McNeill and Mark Neath both competed in the Dentdale 14. On an undulating course Janine came home in 2.21.52 and Mark 2.39.19. Sarah Scott one again ran in the Preston Park Run. This is a 5k course around Avenham Park and Sarah finished in 30.04 Sunday saw the latest race in the trail championship near Chorley. The Roddlesworth Roller is an off road race of approx 10k distance. First to finish was Andrew Fairbairn 37.49. Colin Denney in his debut off road finished in 50.25, Steve Burgess 52.49. First lady for the club was Helen Jolly on the sort of terrain she enjoys best in 57.30. Janine Denney followed in 64.52 and Christine Burgess in 65.41.
