This world is our proving ground. God tests our hearts to see whether we prefer the empty promises of Satan or the promises of the covenant to which God has committed Himself. Although God knew that Satan would approach Adam and Eve, and God authorized the testing of the heart, He did not instruct Satan in his craft. These scriptures add to our understanding: Deuteronomy 13:1-3 1If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder. 2And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; 3Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the Lord your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. These verses talk about God proving the heart through signs and wonders. Signs and wonders take place in the kingdom of darkness and in the kingdom of God. Magicians and spiritual mediums can levitate, prophesy, communicate with spirits, project themselves out of their bodies, and perform many wonders. Some report seeing auras and talk about energy fields and psychic powers. There are many avenues to spiritual experiences, but the life of God is not in them, and the soul cannot increase through that form of contact. Many witness the paranormal, yet few are familiar with the force behind the phenomena and have no concept of the Antichrist spirit that is generating it. Spiritual phenomena that take place in Satan’s kingdom are real, but not sanctified by God for faith.
