This year has been amazing and the quote that I remember mast has been.... sometimes things are bigger than me. This was proved tonight when 3 amazing vegan volunteers cooked gammon, egg and chips for 30 guys in the hostel and also the #safesleep emergency shelter. We have 9 guys again tonight and all of which are engaging with the support on offer, new benefit claims are in, identification is on its way for 5 guys and all of them have a story and claim to how much this pilot idea in our office within positive lifestyles hostel has changed their lives. A couple of them would like to share their stories and Im sure will asap. This year has been one of change...not loose change but change involving peoples lives, change in opinions and changes in volunteers lives. This project has grown very quickly and is growing into itself all the time remaining true to our ethos; Never judge anyone Respect eachother Never turn anyone away Never ask anyone if they are homeless or to prove their need. Always maintain everyones dignity. Most of all remember we are all 1 race, the human race.
