Those were the days of charming hand sketches and book research. No internet and no computer modelling! When I lived in Oman, I had the opportunity to do a series of hand sketches for a pre-concept study report for an eco - resort in Salalah. Salalah is the beautiful tropical southern tip of Oman. A resort was proposed to be built at Khawr Awsatt, an ecologically unique beach, where the proportion of salt and sea water changes during the year, and hence so do the flaura and fauna.. These sketches were done after research into the delightful Omani culture, architecture, art, and ecological and environmental factors unique to this region.
