Those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:31 We are made in the image of God. There is something intangible about our being. John 4:24 says, “God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” Our spirits need care just like our bodies. God is the source of refreshment for our spirit. As our creator and the ultimate spirit being, He is the true source of spiritual refreshment. We gain that through our relationship with Him. Reading His word, spending alone time with Him, and living in His will builds our ability to trust and put our hope in Him. When we can hope in the LORD, we can experience the kind of spiritual refreshment the verse above describes. Pray for your relationship with God. Talk to Him about how you put your hope in Him and Him alone.
