Thought Id share this article and the comment I made on Robs page about it.. Thinking some more, somebody needs to do this idea NOW! :-) Well I can see how a music channel specialising in broadcasting vintage content and programming any number of original new music shows in the style of white room, whistle test, Jools (only better), TOTP, the Tube, soul train even lol... with either scheduled live unique events or broadcasting at great quality every music festival there is from every stage not just highlights n big names would be worth subscribing to. I would. Also they could have exclusive live releases that sure may find its way onto youtube but the quality would be better and it would have the build up and then the event broadcast. That could work, rather than a label say releasing a subscription based music service. If it were oriented around performances and old footage but superior in every way to youtube that would be worth tuppence.
