Thought Provoking Article Title: Understandest thou what thou readest? My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children (Hosea 4:6). The Bible, which is our reference point for learning about Gods true Word and life principles is a spiritual Holy Book - inspired by Gods Holy Spirit of life (2 Timothy 3:16). Understanding the Bible therefore is only possible if we are taught directly by His Holy Spirit or by those inspired and taught directly by His Holy Spirit. The understanding of Gods Word does not come by the mere reading of the black and white information detailed in the Bible. It comes through Holy Spirit led revelations. God did not give us His infallible Word that are in the Bible for carnal theological debate. He paved the way for us to have His Biblical Word so, that we will have revelation of His ways and divine principles and not for the sake of mere reading it or cramming the verses in our heads for vain glory sake. God wants us to have revelations of His Biblical principles, so we do not end up perished by the demonic lies that, Satan constantly masquerades in the world of man as high intelligence. The knowledge of Gods Word is our only means of counteracting Satans carnally destructive confusion tactics. When we are armed with the understanding of Gods Word, Satan can no longer confuse our minds with his wicked lies or succeed in tricking us into rebelling and sinning against Gods righteousness and holy order of life. Knowing for a fact, that knowledge of Gods Word is indeed spiritual power against him, Satan throughout the ages of human existence has endlessly armed man with his carnal knowledge to ensure the spirit man is totally disarmed against him. Satan constantly inundate the world of man with his confusion doctrines in order to prevent mankind from having Gods true knowledge. And our only defence against Satans endless onslaught of confusion remains as always the understanding of Gods true Word. Evidence of knowledge is in understanding. Therefore we can only say we have true knowledge of Gods Word if we understand it in line with His own spiritual perspective. And this can only become possible when we are under His Holy Spirit teaching anointing. Any teachings that are not inspired by Gods Holy Spirit will only work to convict the heart, mind and soul in a misunderstanding of Gods Word and not the understanding God intended for us to have. A wrong conviction is the worse kind of ignorance. When a person becomes convinced, that what is wrong in Gods eyes is absolutely right, he or she will be militantly resistant to what God deems right. Ignorance of Gods righteousness is not a defence against His judgement wrath. Our only defence against His judgement wrath is spiritual knowledge and understanding of the fact that salvation and redemption is only possible through the atonement blood of Jesus Christ. As highlighted in the Acts chapter 8, Scripture reference below, the Ethiopia eunuch although was busy reading Isaiah 53, he could not understand the hidden revelation contained in the Scripture that he was reading. He needed Phillip, Gods own Holy Spirit inspired saint to explain what he was reading to him. And it was only after Philip explained the Scripture to him under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, that the Ethiopia eunuch understood the Scripture and realised the need for surrendering his life to Christ Jesus. If you are yet to catch the same revelation the Ethiopia eunuch caught in Acts Chapter 8 and you happen to be reading this today, it is not by coincidence but by Godly arrangement. God wants to free you from Satans confusion tactics through affording you the exact same knowledge He has afforded His saints in the generations of mankind. Today, if you were to seek God humbly in your heart, admit to the weaknesses of your flesh and not harden your mind toward Christ -His truth revealed (John 14:6), He will purge you from all satanic contaminated doctrines and fill you up with His undiluted: Double edged weaponry Word of life! Acts 8:27-37 And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship, Was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the prophet. Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot. And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest? And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him. The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth: In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth. And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man? Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus. And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
