*Thought for Today*... Revelation 3:19-21 - I correct and discipline everyone I love. So be diligent and turn from your indifference. 20 “Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends. 21 Those who are victorious will sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat with my Father on his throne. Reading through the Book of Revelation Chapter 2 and 3 this morning, something awesome struck me! God laid charges on six churches and commended one in His Divine Letters to the Seven Churches. Despite, the charges, He still sought to strengthened relationship by seeking Repentance which was the recurring call to these six churches.... to further strengthened scriptures that Jesus preached: Matthew 9:13 - Then he added, “Now go and learn the meaning of this Scripture: ‘I want you to show mercy, not offer sacrifices.’[a] For I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners.” Luke 5:32 I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners and need to repent.” Luke 15:7 - In the same way, there is more joy in heaven over one lost sinner who repents and returns to God than over ninety-nine others who are righteous and haven’t strayed away! 2 Corinthians 7:10 - For the kind of sorrow God wants us to experience leads us away from sin and results in salvation. There’s no regret for that kind of sorrow. But worldly sorrow, which lacks repentance, results in spiritual death. 2 Timothy 2:25 - Gently instruct those who oppose the truth. Perhaps God will change those people’s hearts, and they will learn the truth. 2 Peter 3:9 -The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent. It further confirms my scriptural conviction, that divinely, God does not necessarily desire the death of sinner but want a 180 degrees turn around from sin and errors and manipulations (fake and counterfeit way of life). I never read in these two chapters under reference where God took his threat of punishment further.... He is still waiting upon the Repentance from the churches which include you and I. A wakeup call to repent and be saved.... Matthew 3:2,8 - 2 and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!” 8 Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance, (Gal 5:22-23) Acts 17:30 - Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, 2 Corinthians 7:9-10 - Now I rejoice, not that you were made sorry, but that your sorrow led to repentance. For you were made sorry in a godly manner, that you might suffer loss from us in nothing. 10 For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death. Hebrews 6:1-Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works (Gal. 5:19-21) and of faith toward God Revelation 3:3, 19 - Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you. 19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. *singing* mercy say no, I wont let you go...... *still thinking*.... Grace helps to confess and repent?!!!!
