Thought of the Day: Was God’s objective to get man to - TopicsExpress

Thought of the Day: Was God’s objective to get man to heaven? Can I suggest it wasn’t but it was man’s ultimate goal was to rule and govern earth (which we will do one day). Read Ge 1:26-28 “Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all[b] the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” Dominion – Hebrew raw-daw: To rule: reign and govern. Man was to rule and reign/govern. Jesus is Lord of Lords and King of Kings – who are the Lords and Kings he is talking about. Could it be us? Revelations 5:10 “Revelation 5:10 “And have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth.” So we see in Genesis we are to rule and reign where and now in Revelations it says we are to reign where? Perhaps the Bible is written about a king and His Kingdom (government). Is it possible we have looked at everything through religious eyes and thinking rather than through kingdom thinking? Did Adam live in the Kingdom of God until he sinned? Was God’s original intent was to have the Kingdom of God on earth? Will the Kingdom eventually come to earth? How are we to interpret Revelation 11:15 “Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!” Was God’s objective to get man to heaven?
