Thought of the day for Saturday, January 18th, 2014 If our willingness to give blessings is limited, so also is our ability to receive them (The weekend comes upon us now to remind us to wholeheartedly connect with our friends, our family, and ourselves to do the things in Life that we enjoy doing. Todays thought is an ancient one and it comes from Lao Tzu, founder of Taoism, as he attempts to describe the dualistic yin-yang phenomena in Life. The philosophy that the positive & negative aspects of Life are two sides of the same coin. As in: you get back that which you put out. For example, if we give a limited amount of Love to our partners, amount of Love we experience in the relationship will conversely be limited... If we limit our sharing of joy with our friends, we experience a limited amount of joy from the time we spend with our friends... If we limit the caring connection we have with our family, we find that our connection to our family will lack something to it... If we place conditions upon our Love or respect for ourselves (I will Love myself when...), we will always find that our Love for ourselves is not unconditional. So this weekend: Love, Connect, share Joy and laughter with ourselves and with others. For the moment has come to be here NOW, enjoying the moment.)
