Thousands of Christians pray for a United Kingdom; not a Divided Kingdom Over 1000 Christians and Koreans gathered at the Emmanuel Centre, Westminster for two nights of explosive prayer and worship as a powerful climax to the South Korean Prayer Mission, which began 8th September. The National Prayer Celebrations saw hundreds of Korean Missionaries cry out to God for the state of the UK, literally weeping tears of blessing on British soil. This built on the local element of the Prayer Mission where teams visited 30 towns and regions last week to pray for communities, revival in the UK church and for the destiny of the British Isles. During Tuesday nights Celebration, Pastor Jonathan Oloyede, Convenor of the National Day of Prayer and Worship led a prophetic act inviting Christians from Scotland, Ireland, Wales and England to stand united together on the platform whilst the delegates from Asia, Africa, Europe and the Americas surrounded them in loud earnest prayers. It was an emotive moment as Words were offered that God was calling for the UK to remain united not divided. During the evening too, a call was issued via social media to invite Christians from the country to unite in praying Thy Kingdom come, thy Will be done. Thousands of people joined in virtually to pray for a United Kingdom whilst the event was beamed live to potential millions in Asia via the CTS TV platform. Christians are being encouraged to continue praying throughout the run up to the Scottish Referendum vote and to seek God on this vital and life challenging decision. Speaking on this morning, Pastor Jonathan Oloyede, Convenor of the National Day of Prayer and Worship commented: This week, we have seen thousands of Christians coming together to pray for the UK. This is a very prophetic and crucial season for our family of nations. It is very befitting, therefore that our Brothers and Sisters from Korea have come to the UK to stand with us at this time. The decision which the Scottish people will be voting tomorrow has challenges whatever the result. However, The Kingdom of God will flourish irrespective of the outcome. I know that it is Gods Will that Scotland rises up as a nation to fulfil her destiny and for the United Kingdom to serve Gods agenda in these Last Days. May the Church in the British Isles arise with the mandate and mantle to proclaim the Gospel to the nations. Everyone is being encouraged to keep the momentum of this prayer wave from Korea by signing up their churches, networks and teams to the National Prayer School taking place in Leicester from 19th - 22nd November 2014.
