Three good thoughts for Monday: 1. I skipped doing this at the weekend because I was too busy having fun which is a positive thought in itself. 2. Im glowing from the fact that I managed 10 of the 15 miles of the Londonist Thames Walk on Saturday (we all did, match abandoned due to four pubs by 6pm) AND a Pilates class on Sunday which flew by so I must be getting the knack. 3. At the Surrealist Dinner Party on Friday, a pop-up, site-specific, improvised event - so all the modern things Londons entertainment scene provides - I popped to the loo and blue-tacked to the wall above the urinal was a programme from the first play I ever saw in London, with my mum, 45 years ago: The Old Ladies with Flora Robson, Joan Miller and Joyce Carey at the old Westminster Theatre. On the reverse theres a picture of its restaurant, which I also remember (theatres up North didnt have restaurants) because I had both apple pie and a Proustian moment as its the first place I tasted aerosol cream. Happy memories. 4 days to go. I nominate Liam Myron because he thinks this is a pyramid scheme.
