Three things: o We just broke 12,000 members today! Woo hoo! o I wanted to suggest that when youre chasing a railroad, *always* ask the property owner for permission. Because, they probably know things about the railroad that you dont know, and its always worth asking them. Ive had property owners give me guided tours and point out things that I probably wouldnt have noticed, e.g. imported clay drainage tiles. o When you take a picture of abandoned tracks, is it legit to rearrange things? I will scuff up the dirt to reveal a buried rail, or pull weeds that are distracting, or move branches aside for a better shot. Or is that cheating? Note: Im not suggesting that anybody change their practices; Im just curious to see if anybody has a sense of purism about their photos.
