After serving as a guitarist with the US Navy, MSgt Wilsons Air Force career began in 1996 right here in the Band of the West. A native of faraway Austin, Steve spent a bit of time in San Antonio weaning away from home before being shipped off to Japan for several years. His outstanding musical genius landed him in the premier band in Washington DC before he returned back to the warmth of Texas. Home, sweet home! Besides being a phenomenal musician, everyone who crosses paths with MSgt Wilson never walks away the same. (Its a good thing...) His golden heart endears him to his friends and coworkers, and his humor is quick, witty, and unparalleled! He can write a pop song with lyrics, melody, groove, and backups on the spot. And who can forget his extraordinary talent as the auctioneer at the annual Band bake sale? Steve, your personality has been a sizable influence in the Band of the West, and wherever you have served.
