Thur. 4/7/2013 Be Hospitable 1 Pet. 4:7-10 Apostle Peter says that we are in the end-time and believers must be serious in their walk with God. They must have fervent love for one another and must be hospitable to one another without grumbling. This means apostle Peter may probably have seen who are practising hospitality out of necessity but not out of love to do it. There are believers today whose countenance will suddenly change at the sight of a visitor because they see such visitor as a burden, as coming to deplete them. God’s not asking you to entertain visitor with what you do not have but from the little He has given to you. As each one has received gift, minister it to one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. Be cheerful when you see visitors and if you only have water at home set it before them with gladness of heart. Let them go out from your house with the impression that if you have more, you would have done more. Point of Emphasis: Be good and nice to visitors. Prayer Point: Lord, help me to be hospitable to all people.
