Thursday Jan. 15 Manifesting the Works of God (1) 2Kings 5:7; And it came to pass, when the king of Isreal had read the letter, that he rent his clothes, and said, Am I God, to kill and to make alive, that this man doth send unto me to recover a man of his leprosy? Wherefore consider, I pray you, and see how he seeketh to quarrel against me. And it was so, when Elisha the man of God had heard that the king of Isreal had rent his clothes, that he sent to the king, saying, Wherefore hast thou rent thy clothes? Let him come to me, and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel. After the little girl who was a maid to Naamans wife made Naaman aware that he could be healed of his leprosy by a prophet in Samaria, the King of Syria gave Naaman a letter to deliver to the King of Isreal. The King of Isreal was so overwhelmed with the situation that he tore his clothes and said, am I God that can take and give life? His narrow minded perspective was that, by making such an incredible demand for miracle, the king of Syria was attempting to cause a quarrel. An opportunity for Gods name to be glorified had presented itself. Yet, out of fear and ignorance, the King of Isreal was over exaggerating the situation, feeling overwhelmed and losing his mind. Rather than turn to God, he even tore his robe. This year, you will not be overwhelmed by any situation. You will be like Elisha who wondered why the king was so paranoid and asked that the situation be forwarded to him to address. He told Naaman that he would know that there is a prophet in Israel. Today and throughout this year, because of the grace for dominion that is upon your life, people will know that there is a son or daughter of God in the area where you live, work or school. You will be like Jesus was in John 9:1-4. While His disciples wondered whether it was a mans sin or his parents sin that caused him to be born blind, Jesus said, I must work the works of Him who sent me while it is day. He declared himself to be the light of the world and confirmed that the situation simply presented an opportunity for the glorious works of God to be manifested. Prayer Focus: Ask God for grace to never be overwhelmed by whatever comes your way. Declare that you manifest Gods power. BIBLE IN ONE YEAR READING PLAN: Gen. 43-45. © Grace For Dominion
