Tiger Hunting Spotted Deer - Post 3 ====================== Please do scroll down on my timeline to read Post 1 & 2 for the background story. Maya now sprinted across the small water patch and continued her approach towards the spotted deer. The birds in the water were disturbed, yet for us no sign of the target prey. But Maya had probably made up her mind and knew who her meal will be. The Spotted Deer alarm continued from all directions and we were still searching for her target prey. And then we could see the head popping out. In the third image posted you can see the Spotted Deer submerged in the tall grass. Even though Maya was in the open, she was way below and the Spotted Deer just could not see her. This worked for Maya and she did not have to give a long chase to catch her prey. The moment was quite intense. All these happening so fast and my hands and legs were shivering...I had never come across anything like this before in my life....we had zero expectations of any sightings during our last safari as we had seen Sloth Bears, Wild Dog, Leopard, Tiger and had made a lot of images during the past 7 safaris. This was definitely a bonus. Another good part was - there were only 3 jeeps witnessing all these and we were the only jeep with photographers... Stay tuned to see what happens next....the next set of images are going to be thrilling and breath taking....hold on for the action!
