Tim Snoopy Diane Collins gave me number 12. Time to share 12 things most of you dont know about me. Like this status and Ill give you a number. 1) I like to clean house from 9 p.m. until midnight. 2) I was named after a theater, the Karolyn, that my daddy patronized in his carefree bachelor days. 3) Id rather give a speech in front of 5000 people than do idle chit chat at a small dinner party. 4) The obituaries are my favorite part of any newspaper. 5) I was the 5th grade Scripps Howard spelling champing of my county. I missed the word ambrosia. 6) I forgive, but I dont forget. 7) Two of my favorite vacations in the US were Memphis and New Orleans. 8) I hate snakes: real, fake, pictures, the whole gamut. 9) The movies Ive seen over and over and over (and I dont watch many of them again) are Ferris Buellers Day Off , White Christmas and McLintock! 10) For one year I cocooned myself in bedcovers all the way above the ears so Barnabas Collins wouldnt bite my neck. 11) The best thing Ive ever done in my newspaper career was be onboard the USS JFK while it was doing maneuvers in the Atlantic. I got to tailhook and catapult on and off the ship just like in Top Gun. 12) I can write in the Antique German Alphabet--something I learned a lifetime ago in 10th grade.
