Tip 5 – To Ensure a Painless Number Collection There are a few basic steps that each Comrades Entrant should do to ensure a smooth efficient registration process: • Ensure that their entry details are correct and they have met the requirements to qualify to be on the start line. All qualifying entrants with an e-mail address will receive an email soon after the 6th May confirming their recorded details and giving them the opportunity to make any correction before finalizing the entry confirmation and preparing the race packs. • Ensure that their ChampionChip Code has been supplied with their entry and that they have this ChampionChip with them when they come to collect their race numbers. Once the entry data has been finalized and all Race Numbers allocated, the race numbers will be printed and the race packs prepared. Runners will be sent confirmation by: • SMS with Race Number. • E-Mail with Race Number and a QR Code. • Passbook with Race Number and a QR Code. What must the entrant do when arriving at the Expo/Registration? When the runner arrives at the expo they will: • Proceed to their appropriate registration area - o Main Registration o Green Number Club or o International Registration • Their ChampionChip will be then be scanned and their details will be displayed for them to check. • Their Race Pack and Goodie Bag will then be handed to them and they are registered ready to start the race. If they have for any reason forgotten their ChampionChip, they can be registered from their QR Code or by lookup on the system. The info desk will assist with a ChampionChip if needed or any other queries relating to their entry.
