Tired of the escalating cost of living? Make your voices heard. From now till the end of August, taxpayers are encouraged to give their views on what they want in Budget 2015. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, who is also Finance Minister, is slated to table the Budget in Parliament on Oct 10. “We would like to hear the views of the rakyat, regardless of their background. “Any topics are welcome and we are in the process of collating feedback,” Deputy Finance Minister Datuk Ahmad Maslan said after chairing a focus group discussion on the cost of living here yesterday. Ahmad said the Budget would focus on, among other issues, the upscaling of human capital, strengthening private investments, accelerating export growth, enhancing the quality of life and empowering women and youth development. Public feedback can be directed to the ministry’s fiscal and economy division or the Budget unit at [email protected]. More contact details may be obtained from the Treasury’s website.
