Tis the season to wake up with a dry scratchy throat. Breakfast in bed for me today is a (raw vegan) chocolate shake...healthy, low fat, filling and delicious. Frozen bananas Raw cacao powder ( high in antioxidants) Maca (good for stamina,energy &hormones) Lucuma (sweetener but does not increase blood sugar levels...great for diabetics. Subtle maple /caramel flavor ,excellent source of fiber,vitamins,especially B3, and minerals) ALmond milk (homemade or make sure boxed milk does not contain carageenan) Blend in high speed blender...sometimes I add frozen organic dark cherries or leave out Maca and add (Young Living...because they are pure and edible) peppermint essential oil.
