To: All Municipal Guest Instructors From: Harvie Cheshire – Annual Schools Training Manager REF: Guest Instructor Joe Yeakley – Lindale Fire Department Brothers and Sisters of the Fire School, As most of you know, one of our long time guest instructors, Joe Yeakley (Fire Fighting Phase 1 – SCBA) of the Lindale Fire Department, was critically injured while combatting a structure fire. Last reports we at TEEX-ESTI have received is that he remains in critical condition with burns over 50 % of his body. He is currently in Parkland Hospital undergoing treatment for his injuries. He is projected to remain in the hospital for a minimum of 50 days. As you can imagine, the hospital costs will be overwhelming during this time in Joe’s recovery phase. The members of the Lindale Fire Department have asked TEEX to help disseminate the following information to all active guest instructors. An account to help fund the hospital costs for Joe has been established at the Bank and Trust of Lindale, P.O. Box 8, Lindale, TX. 75771. If you or your departments wish to make a donation to this fund, please make the checks payable to Lindale Volunteer Fire Department, FBO Joe Yeakley.
