Circular No. : 109 / 2014 Dated : 12th December, 2014 Dear Sir/Madam, We are happy to inform you that the National Level Desert Trekking programme will be organized at Bikaner, Rajasthan. The details of the programme are as hereunder: Name of the event : NATIONAL LEVEL DESERT TREKKING Dates : 03rd to 07th January, 2015 Venue : Divisional Training Centre, Ridmalsar, Bikaner, Rajasthan Reporting : Before 10 a.m. on 03.01.2015 Relieving : After lunch on 07.01.2015 Wheather : Wheather will be too cold, hence warm cloth should be brought accordingly Fee : Dev. Fee: Rover/Ranger: Rs.50/-; U.L.: Rs.100/- Special Fee: Rs.30/- Eligibility : Rovers and Rangers between 18 to 35 years of age completed Praveen Test and physically/mentally fit to take the strain of trek for 10 to 35 km per day during day or night and can spent night in open desert. Financial assistance : Concessional Train Fare and actual bus fare(where there is no train route) will be reimbursed on production of photo copy of the tickets at the time of reporting. Free hospitality will be provided during the camp. Activities : Trekking will start from the base camp on 4th Jan. and participants will be back to the base camp only in the morning of 7th Jan. 2015. During the trek, participants are expected to present Folk Dance and Nukkad Natak (Skit) on cleanliness/ sanitation/AIDs/Dowry system/Population Education. What to bring : One set of complete uniform and one set of activity uniform, sports shoes(not newly purchased), personal belongings, personal first aid and medicine if any, sleeping bag & mat, one bed sheet, one blanket, Heaver Sack, water bottle, torch, P cap, woolen cloths, note book & pen, plate, spoon, glass & mug, Glucose, Water purifier tablets, Costumes for Folk Dances Application form with Medical and Risk Certificate. How to reach campsite : The campsite is very famous. You are requested to please make sure that the Rovers and Rangers should follow the above mentioned information.
