To: My partner,Family and Friends! It feels wonderful to make the people you care about happy. To have them proud of you, approve of you, or even simply accept you means the world. Whats even better is when you can accomplish that without having to compromise who you are. Is that always going to happen? No. This is why we have to decide when enough is enough to determine where our personal energy is best spent. Theres that saying we adore those that ignore us, and ignore those that adore us or something like that. For whatever reason, many of us tend to focus on those that focus on us the least, at the expense of those who deserve our attention the most. We can actively break this cycle. Im not advocating a F*ck The World mentality. Im advocating a Spend your energy & time on people that value you for who you genuinely are mentality. If you dont feel like you have those types of people in your life, then its time to get brave and go out into the world and connect with new people. It can be exhausting and degrading trying to appease people who have expectations that dont agree with what your insides are telling you.
