To The Left The state of Massachusetts has passed a new and more restricted gun law and of course the right is already up in verbal arms. The bill was actually watered down to make the NRA happy. It had included a provision which would have made it easier for the police to deny gun permits for shotguns and rifles to those they found unsuitable. As a result, police will not have the same authority to deny a gun or rifle permit that they do for a handgun permit. If this makes sense to anyone here please explain it to the rest of us.
