To all concerned..... be they Historians, Fans, Folks in or out of the Business, be it decades ago or current: Thank You very much for your responses. Lets get something straight here Folks: Battles, Bouts and Brawls is THE STORY.... let me emphasize this: The Story.....the history is part of the story. Look at the Title please: Battles, Bouts and Brawls: The Story of Pro Wrestling in Detroit and the Surrounding Areas--YESTERDAY, TODAY and BEYOND.... oh, Beyond means future here . This Program has been produced to inform, educate and possibly even entertain EVERYONE, be it fanatic, casual fan, extreme fan or the average person who has no knowledge of pro wrestling and anyone else in-between. The caliber of people in the program... be it a fan in the audience, jobber of the past or pro-wrestling historian from the East or West Coast, or Hollywood Film Director who was himself a professional wrestler or Pro-Wrestler known for decades in the ring and from motion picture appearances. This is to show THE IMPACT that Detroit wrestling has had on the Country and The World. And, for the people who have not been included in the Program, a number of reasons: They are DEAD, declined to be a part of the Program (Fred Curry, Eddie Farhat), or, time did not allow EVERYONE to be in the Program. This is not a mini-series Folks, if that one announcer or ref was not mentioned, or a mid-carder in the Detroit area was not acknowledged, the fact that YOU thought of them still served the purpose: YOU remembered them, hopefully fondly. For those of you that may think The Sheik may not have been in the Program enough for you....then, you can get the 2 DVD disc set of The Sheik: Wrestlings Greatest Villain..... its all about him. He was a major part, but, not the only part of Detroit wrestling. Wrestling happened before and after The Sheik, and will continue. As for the inclusion of Independent Promotions in the Detroit area: XICW..... The Promotion is top notch, not only in The Producers book, but also from fans and fellow wrestlers. A 2nd generation Promotion, paying constant homage to Old School with the cutting edge style that is Todays Wrestling. Sadly, some people will say, this was not in, that was not in and any other colorful phrases. Well, to you fine people: Critics are just that, critical. And, if you are a Professional Critic, you earn your pay then. If you are a person of a certain age, trapped in the days of your past, stay in your comfort zone, its what you like, enjoy. AND, I look forward to any and everyones efforts to make the Documentary that will satisfy THE World, and, more importantly, YOU.
