To all discarnate personalities, ghosts, hallucinations & other such phantasms currently resident in, or wishing to take up residence in, my head, please be aware that, with IMMEDIATE EFFECT, rent will now be charged on a monthly basis, at a rate of £150 per discarnate personality, et al. This is in respect of a) The inconvenience caused to myself by the presence of lodgers, and its attendant impact upon my ability to carry out meaningful work b) The fact that, by residing in my head, you benefit from a free and wide-ranging library I hope you will find the new charge reasonable, and continue to find your accommodation pleasant. Should this not be the case, you are, of course, free to vacate the premises at a time of your choosing. (And then maybe Ill have some space to work on that Nobel Prize winning essay Ive been plotting all these years...)
