To all intents and purposes, Nigeria is observing civil rule but not democracy. No democratic government will tolerate and accommodate irresponsibility, dishonesty, injustice, curruption and general indiscipline to its fold. This country has, since independence witnessed a variety of socio-economic and political crisis, which have collectively stalled her development and even appeared at ties to threaten its corporate existence as a nation. Some of these problems are not only getting worse, but appear to defy solutions. Nigerians have become deeply frustrated and disappointed over unfulfilled hopes of solving persistent economic crises, social tensions and political corruption and deceit have created widespread national disaffection, which has been hijacked by various interests groups.
