To all my, eco friendly/ green friends out there. This is one of the countless reasons why it was so important for you and everyone else out there to take 30 minutes (if not less) out of your day on Nov 4th and vote blue (or for an eco friendly republican [rare/ good luck finding one and let me know when you do]. Now that the GOP has both the House and the Senate you can kiss most of, if not all the environmental regulations goodbye. To those that have in the past or currently still claim that either -A, voting doesnt matter- or -B, both parties are the same anyway-, this among everything else about them (all you have to do is pay the slightest bit of attention) proves those statements/ claims (A & B) false. If you ever hear someone you know ever make that general claim (both parties are the same anyway) please dont let them get away with it/ allow them to influence others. Youre allowed to believe that one parties policies are superior (and although I may disagree, I respect and will defend your right to do so) but to believe that both are the same only proves that you dont pay attention and you may influence the others who are uninformed but not those who do follow politics even in the slightest. Once again, the entire point of this post is to prove how important it is to vote and due to the lack of it last Nov 4th, we could quite possibly have to kiss all environmental regulations/ the EPA goodbye. I will miss you (somewhat clean lol) rivers, air etc.
