To all of you sending an e-mail, or about to go to the prof the next day about marks, please take a moment and swallow this message. You are in university, not high-school. There is a major gap in the educational system between the two institution. You need to connect the two by changing your habit of studying. Understanding what is taught in class and learn how to read. Reading the book will make you a better student. You have an issue about the mark because a prof or a t.a probably made a mistake, or you simply dont know why you did it wrong. There are ways to resolve this issue. Sending a negative e-mail or expressing negative feedback in person is not a solution. Keep in mind these professors are your reference in your careers. I hope you can clue in to that already. You paid good money to be here, you earn good money only if you earn this degree. To earn it, you need to be honest with yourself and others. When you go or send an email to the prof and appeal a certain issue, get to their good side by simply being nice. Ask whatever question it is in your mind, and ask for an advice. If their response was not professional (highly unlikely), that is a different story. I do advice this because I know many of you are frustrated. Take a step back, and dont take it out on your profs. Reassess yourself.
