To all of you who have called and texted, I do appreciate your concern. I have a sinus infection and am too miserable to get on the phone or text much or Facebook either. Heres an update: Im here, Im still sick Im trying to get better. I cant text much, Im miserable. I cant even enjoy our victory. I managed to make myself go to the doctor yesterday. my regular doctor was gone, the doctor that replaced her was nice enough and gave me lots of instructions like drink plenty of fluids and buy a vicks vaporizer, etc. Thats instructions anyone could give me. He said I have a sinus infection and at the same time my wisdom teeth are impacted and trying to come in. They do this once a year for about a week but cause no problem but this time theyre killing me. My tongue feels like I have papercuts on it. He gave me no medication just plenty of rest and fluids. It was hard for me to go to the doctor and for that? Everyone sending me messages and calling including my cousin in Illinois and Stephanie Schoonover in Maryland along with several others said he should have given me antibiotics. One said if he had given me a 5 day Z-Pak antibiotic, it would be gone in no time. Another said her Aunt was diagnosed with the same thing I have, a sinus infection, and she got Z-Pak prescribed and it cleared it right up. I asked him if I could have something for the pain caused by my wisdom teeth and he said just get some Aleeve. As I said he was nice enough but I began to wonder why no help other than routine stuff friends and the Internet could privide. When I got home I looked in the mirror and realized I had an anti-obama shirt on that said, Rise Up America and Take Our Country Back. It then dawned on me that the doctor replacing my doctor for the day was black and since 98% of the black people support Obama maybe my shirt pissed him off. Its a shame I would have to worry about that but it does make me wonder. I just grabbed the next clean shirt off the rack and it happened to be that one. I would like to think that a doctor would have more integrity than that but the way I see the Democrats fight voter ID laws etc, in which the only reason can be to commit voter fraud, I dont put anything past them. In Virginias Senate election the Democrat, Mark Warner is ahead by 17,000 votes in the final tally but the election has not yet been called because more that 17,000 non citizens are believed to have voted for Warner, the Democrat. I have two health care insurance coverages. The one I always use is through the police retirement system, Kaiser. Thats where I went yesterday. I also always signed up with Exxons because it was always a little cheaper to add my son onto that policy than to add him to Kaiser and he preferred to keep his doctor rather than moving to Kaiser. For that reason I am using my secondary coverage to go to a different doctor and get a secondary opinion if I can manage to get out of the bed again with my chills. I am going to say or do nothing differently and see how that encounter goes. When Kaiser sends me the survey to complete I want to explain all this but I dont want to do so if Im not certain Im right and how do I know if I am right about my suspicions? As a police officer I would never in a million years treat someone differently because they had an Obama bumper sticker on their car and I would like to think the same thing would apply to this doctor.
