To all the people that have done the ALS ice bucket challenge! Do any of you actually know what you are donating towards? Did you actually donate, or did you just get nominated so you thought Why Not? lets throw some cold water over myself for attention. So many videos have been popping up on my news feed of people doing the challenge, yet almost every single one has neglected to mention what it is you are supporting or what ALS even is. You just name some random people and the cycle continues until you all realize, Hey, what did I actually do to help people suffering from ALS? You shouldnt have to be nominated to donate to such a worthy cause. You should have a kind heart and donate anyway no matter weather you are nominated or not. It sickens me that so many people are doing this and not even donating or thinking that they can use it as means of attention. Im glad I didnt get nominated. If I had of known about ALS and how much it needed financial help I would have donated anyway no matter what. How about a new challenge for you? Donate and call all of your friends and family to action and get them to do it. No need to pour water over yourself. Just be kind hearted human beings and help those who need it most.
