To be a true believing Christian is to place Jesus at the center - TopicsExpress

To be a true believing Christian is to place Jesus at the center of your life. Many are confused by what it means to be Christ-like. I have family members who are completely confused, but not only that, they are arrogant about it. Why not just do some research within The Holy Bible? To be a true believing Christian means that you completely place your faith in the works of Jesus. He is the savior of the world! You cannot call yourself a Christian and a ______________ , but yet rely on your own spiritual works to save you! How is Jesus your savior then? How can you believe that what you do is going to be greater than Jesus death on the cross? The Holy Bible is clear on this, and dont say that there are other interpretations to this scripture: In John 14:6 Thomas, Jesus disciple, was asking Him about the way to go in order to be saved... Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. In Ephesians 2:8-9 Paul, Jesus apostle, said in several scriptures that WORKS dont save us... For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. Romans 4:2 Paul clearly said that what saved Abraham was ONLY his faith... For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. In this verse, it is easy to criticize and say that Abraham did not even know Jesus...but, dont be so quick to judge. The entire Bible is in reference to the Messiah, Jesus. Yes, the Old Testament is a picture of Jesus before His entrance into this world, it is a prophecy of the One and Only Redeemer; the New Testament is the prophecy that came to life, Jesus and His teachings were done and written in careful record, for telling us what God expects of us...Why? Because obviously, since the beginning of time, we were not much about having faith in God, and in believing the prophets, so what did He do? He came to live among us, so we would believe, since we are so stubborn!! And finally, the Book of Revelation will be what the Messiah will be in the End, a Fair and Just Judge! Abrahams faith came not from seeing God, it came from knowing by heart and believing what Gods love would do for the entire humanity of this world! Galatians 2:16 Another clear verse that says that nothing else will save except faith in Jesus... nevertheless knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the Law; since by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified. Im in no way saying that we dont have to try to be good, not at all. If you are a Christian that has faith in Jesus and Jesus only as your savior, then in turn, your lifestyle should be a reflection of it. And by reflection I dont mean perfect, because NOBODY is perfect, only Jesus was. To say: I know that Jesus lived and I believe that. I also know that HE was a prophet and did miracles. does not make you a Christian. You are very confused. Gods Word - The Holy Bible- the only God-breathed book in the planet, is explicitly clear on what it means to be a Christian. And I dont care if you are a Mormon, a Jehovahs Witness, a Catholic, a Charismatic or any other religion, if you have other books, like The Pearl Of Great Price, or say, an altered version of the Bible (the Jehovah Witnesses do and the Mormons also have changed some of Gods Word in their version of the Bible, and Catholics have books added to the Old Testament), or if you have pendants, rosaries, idols, or statues of something that appears to be like Christ or God or saints, then you are directly despising what God says in His inerrant Word. If you think that Gods Word - The Holy Bible, has errors, its only because you failed to study it. And I dont mean interpret it your own way. I mean, do the research! The Bible is clear! There are no 2 or 3 or 4 ways of looking at it. Go and study the original texts in Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic. Gods Word does not contain errors. Ive heard certain family members say that the Bible has errors, and then, justify why they have to have other books , like the book of mormon. This is because they have NOT read the entire Word Of God. They fail to know who God is, and they equally despise Gods Word. In boasting about what they dont know, they look foolish because they have not entirely studied The Holy Bible from cover to cover, to make such an erroneous claim. This is not my discernment, it is Gods judgment directly from Gods Holy Bible. Study it, research it, read the original words (Hebrew, Greek, or Aramaic) that were used and prove me wrong. 2 Timothy 3:16 Is Inspired by whom? By God!! Does God then, make errors? Who are we to question God? All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; Let me say one thing, the word SCRIPTURE is not universal neither general. It only refers to scripture within Gods Holy Bible, not in a book of Mormon or even in altered versions of the Bible. Revelation 22:16-20 Who testified here about adding or taking away from Gods Word? Jesus! “I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star.” The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wishes take the water of life without cost. I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues which are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the tree of life and from the holy city, which are written in this book. He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming quickly.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus. The idea of having a false sense of love and peace really disturbs me. I have a sister that is so empty inside about what it is to love others, and yet clings to her religion as if her life depended on it. Her false sense of good works has made her arrogant in believing that she knows more than anyone, although she barely survived high school and does nothing but stay at home and take care of babies...thats not to mention the gossip and contentions that she causes among others. Is this what mormonism teaches? Of course not. I was a mormon once too. But by grace God saved me from myself. But Mormonism doesnt obey Gods Word, and that is why it falls short, and will never save. I can only try and reason but then my exhortation is done. This life is all choice, and I cannot force anyone to follow Christ wholeheartedly. On the other hand, some of my family members believe that Im confused about what it is to be a mormon. Am I? Truly, truly I say to you, I am not. I lived the mormon life, I did some of their rituals, which are not saving nor edifying nor BIBLICAL. And if its not biblical, its not Godly. I have an aunt, who believes that Im a person full of anger because I defend truth, and because I have an opinion. But this is not my opinion. It is exactly what the Lord Christ teaches us in His Word, it is not my own teaching. How can this be? To say that you love someone but then to try to convert them into a false system of religious practices, its like commanding that person that you love to jump off a cliff and commit suicide. Am I to say nothing when the gospel of Christ, the Holy Bible is in question? Am I to soften the truth so nobodys feelings get hurt? Am I not commanded to stand for what is right? I will not be for humanism. So to judge me under the wrong light, is because you dont understand right from wrong, especially the way Jesus taught it. God does not make mistakes. He has established everything as should be, now make your choice, because the evidence is clear. Then I have other family that believe in charms, bracelets, amulets, frames/pictures or necklaces of saints because they are Catholics. God condemns this as idolatry in His Word, and He never allows for worship of these things to be sacred. Those things never save, and placing your faith on these items made of metal, wood or glass is hateful to God. God is a jealous God. He demands our entire worship. God should always be first. Did you know that 26 books of the Holy Bible talk about idols, most of them condemning the worship and praise of these things? God is strong and is explicit about what He doesnt want you to do in worshiping anything else but Him! Revelation 9:20 In the end, there will still be many that will hold on to these articles but it will be for the worst... The rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, so as not to worship demons, and the idols of gold and of silver and of brass and of stone and of wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk; The Holy Bible is also clear that we should be careful even if a message comes from an angel, so why would we elevate any of the apostles or Mary, mother of Jesus, or Guadalupe to saints, when they were just humans like us? Angels were considered a little bit higher than humans, and still, God said that we are not to worship not even angels. This is in the Bible! And sometimes, those angels of light, were actually demons. So can you possibly be worshiping a demon? Yes, it is possible. Romans 8:37-39 Only Jesus The Christ can save us. Not angels, not apostles, not Mary. Only our faith in Jesus. But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. For my charismatic family, sorry, but again, God is not about romanticizing His Holy Word, so that you may believe. It is not a supernatural feeling that should guide you so that you will believe. Yes, there is a spiritual warfare, but your job is not to take on more than what HE allows for you. Tongues, and prophetic utterances, when done in a noisy chaos, does not come from God. God is a God of order, not confusion. Your feelings can deceive you, because the heart of every man has evil, and sometimes we justify...Trust instead in Gods will without forcing your way into heaven by your actions. 1 Corinthians 14:33 If it comes from the Lord of Heaven, it will be known by order and in quiet prayer... for God is not a God of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints. Jeremiah 17:7-10 Not one of us is really good, or know ourselves, because we even deceive ourselves, says God... “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord And whose trust is the Lord. “For he will be like a tree planted by the water, That extends its roots by a stream And will not fear when the heat comes; But its leaves will be green, And it will not be anxious in a year of drought Nor cease to yield fruit. “The heart is more deceitful than all else And is desperately sick; Who can understand it? “I, the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind, Even to give to each man according to his ways, According to the results of his deeds. I have to say, I am a very sinful person, and I will never be able to blot my transgressions out. But….. I AM A CHRISTIAN. Jesus is the Only One who can save me, and I believe HIM. Not because Ive seen HIM and not because I am good, but because God revealed His Only Begotten Son to me through His inspired Word. It is error-free. It is truth. It is eternally-saving. It is God-ordained. Jesus said that everything that is written in Gods Word will come to pass. Dont doubt it. Matthew 5:17-19 Here is Jesus warning to all who believe... “Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill. For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished. Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. To be rightfully called a CHRISTIAN, means that you dont hold to anything else but to Jesus in faith! Jesus and Jesus only! Not to a Book of Mormon, not to an amulet, not to a so-called gift of tongues, nor to an altered version of the Bible. I know that some of you will be angry at what I said, and thats ok, I expect it. But I have to be about my Fathers business like Jesus said… I hope you ALL know that Im praying for you, not just today, not just tomorrow, but every single day… Yes, even for you my dear sister Jeannette.
