To get ready for Limburger duties at this weekends Green County Cheese Days Festival, I had a Limburger sandwich at Baumgartners in Monroe. Met up with Cheese Days Director Noreen Rueckert, who just published a book on the 100th Anniversary of Cheese Days, from its inception to 2014. Noreen is a silent hero in Monroe, and does so much to promote the area, never wanting any attention for herself. The book is a terrific read. We also hung out with the talented Gary Knowles, an encyclopedia of Wisconsin knowledge and a terrific writer too. Cant wait for this weekend!
