To give an update about Sawyers appointment. We found out yesterday that Sawyer is going to be having open heart surgery in the next few months. I knew eventually he would have to have it because his hole is so large but we were hoping that he would be a few years old. His case is rare in the fact that most people with an ASD usually dont have the symptoms he is having and gradually get better but with his he isnt. They are sending all his paperwork to Egleston Monday to let a group of pediatric cardiologist go over it and discuss when we will do the surgery. They also found yesterday that he has Wolff parkinson white syndrome. That due to a abnormal electrical pathway which causes his heart to race. They have order a heart monitor so we can track to see how often it is happening. If it is occurring a lot they are going to put him on a medication and when he hits 8 to 10 years of age they will go in and freeze it. This has shocked me and Clay and just coming to terms our sweet baby will go through a major surgery at such a young age. Again I just ask for many many prayers for us. Hopefully in the next two weeks we will have an answer to when he will undergo the surgery..... Thank yall so much for the sweet words and prayers!
