To our customers and friends. We have come to the decision that it is time to close our North Fulton Violins Alpahretta location on Milton Avenue. Our last day will be November 16, 2013. This has been a difficult decision, one brought on by the injuries I sustained in a traffic accident seventeen months ago. Having now recovered, I am still no longer able to work as I once did. I have been without a break in this business since 1974, and the time is right for me to back away from the rigors of maintaining a shop and begin to enjoy my life as I best can. This does not mean Im retiring however. Violin makers dont retire, they just slow down their pace. I will maintain my website and facebook page, and will be available in a number of ways. Im currently finalizing a location which will allow me to see customers one day a week on a walk in basis, and Ill be available by appointment other days as well. Keep checking both this page and my website for further details. I will continue to offer repairs, appraisals, emergency repairs, and other services. Im also expanding my selection of instruments and bows. I can be reached after November 16 either by email at [email protected] or at the new shop number at 770-355-6216. For those of you who cannot wait for an appointment, I recommend that you see the good folks at Atlanta Violins in Roswell, Stephanie Voss in Atlanta, and Huthmaker Violins in Duluth. All three are ethical and competent shops. Ill still be around, and my daughter Ann Marie will continue to assist me in my work and will handle servicing our rental accounts. A mother of two, her efforts since my accident have been extraordinary. I consider myself fortunate. What Ive done has never seemed like a job. For 40 years getting up each morning was like Christmas, and I couldnt wait to get to work. At this point it has become a physical burden, so I have to make a change. Along with the work, Ive also been blessed to enjoy many wonderful people as musicians, customers, and friends. I look forward to maintaining those relationships as my health allows me to. Thank you everyone not only for the support youve given me through this difficult last 17 months, but all these years as well. Mark Pullen
