To carry your cross is to carry the life, death, suffering, and hatred from this world similar to that of your King. To be a true Christian is to be diametrically opposed to this world. True Christians are ugly and hideous to this world because they will not bow or bend but follow Jesus even losing their lives. It takes power from Jesus to be a Christian.
