Today - eight years ago - died an important person in the East German Black Metal Underground on a brain tumor: Marcel “Darkmoon” Spaller, owner of SOMBRE RECORDS. He was a part of the early days of our valuable cult and I’d call him a good personal friend. With his label he released very special BM albums – strictly on vinyls and tapes. Although he was a high pugnacious character, as he faked some limitations and threatened people with hate-sms and blackmail-emails short before his death, he was an essential part of the East German Black Metal Scene that he has shaped too. As I already mentioned in the HMHTV interview (link: youtube/watch?v=CgSn9IYyEg0), I personally miss him – although he spread hilarious nonsense about me in the last months of his life. With this post I want to remember his life, his death and state in public that I have forgiven him for the untrue things he said about me. Rest In Black Brother!
