Today 1834 Noon to the Strand; Adelphi Terr; & Professor L. T. Ventouillacs answer to inquiry how he was, that he was no more He died on Sunday morning at past 4; of consumption. A man of great industry, fine talents & extensive knowledge as a linguist & grammarian, & in polite literature, &c. And a gentlemanly carriage & deportment: admirably fitted for his profession, as teacher of the French Language & Literature. W.A. He was about 37 years of age, rather tall; & thin. He has left a widow /an English lady/ & one child, a boy of about [ ]. He was a Parisian. & on his first arrival in this country was instructor in the Misses [ ] Seminary, Walworth & their taught Mrs James Astbury & her friend Mrs John Simons. [Ventouillac had been Professor of French at Kings College and had already published several books.]
